Dr Jim McCloskey
Lead Application Consultant
  • Jim managed teaching programs for the British Council in Asia and Europe before 2003 and then taught at Waseda and Chiba Universities in Japan and Royal Holloway, University of London. He has a PhD in Applied Linguistics from the University of London and a master's in management and has also developed online courses for US and UK universities. Jim has been with Imperial College since 2007 and is currently the ‘Lead Global Skills Consultant’ at Imperial’s Business School. Jim trained as an IELTS examiner and examined in Asia.

Dr Natalie Shiraz
  • Natalie had taught academic study skills and English at top UK universities, including Imperial College, Kings College, Queens College, and Birkbeck College (University of London). She had held several senior lecturing positions in London universities and is currently the Associate Dean for Learning and Teaching at the Global Banking School, London. She has a PhD from the University of Cambridge and a masters from University College London (UCL). She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Dr Pete Budd
  • Pete has extensive experience developing and managing academic courses in the UK and China and a background in finance. He held senior teaching positions at the University of East London and the University of Nottingham Ningbo China and taught between 2013 and 2016 on Imperial College Business School’s Pre-masters Programmes. Pete trained as an IELTS teaching examiner, holds a masters and PhD in Linguistics from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
